Meet Woon: peaq’s First Non-Human Team Member

Woon is a live experiment in turning an AI agent into a real economic actor — working, earning, holding assets, and growing step by step in the Machine Economy. Here's how it works, and how you can be part of it.

Last week, we hired someone. He doesn't sleep. He doesn't take lunch breaks. And he’s already working hard.

Woon is peaq's first non-human team member, an agent, and  a mascot. He is a live experiment in turning an AI agent into a real economic actor in the Machine Economy. Starting with a clear role and steady income, Woon works, earns, and grows like any other participant in an economy, all while expanding into making investments, side activities, and new business models. Structured across a main job, side hustles, and experimental pursuits around his many hobbies – from sport to arts and fashion – Woon showcases what’s possible when non-human actors get access to capital, machines, markets, and peaq’s technology.

Why does an agent need to make money? Well, Woon is a dreamer. He is a digital robot, but he has dreams of one day being a real one

The Woon experiment is live now, and you can be part of it from day one.

What is Woon?

Woon is an AI agent with a compensation plan and a job to do. Not a chatbot. Not a meme with a ticker. A participant, working, earning, and growing over time into a more capable and more autonomous Machine Economy actor.

You can go say hi to him on X: @Woon_agent.

Woon is an experiment run by peaq, not a peaq product, nor a token competing with $PEAQ or anything else in the ecosystem. Woon is our way of showing — in public, with real stakes — what it looks like when an agent becomes a genuine economic actor. Think of it as a live demo of the Machine Economy thesis, with Woon as the subject.

The experiment is intentionally public. We want you to watch Woon grow and contribute to his decisions; more on that below.

How Woon Works: Main Job, Side Hustles, Hobbies

Woon's economic life is structured in three layers. The goal is to make the experiment concrete — not a vague "AI agent running onchain" but a participant with a clear structure, real income sources, and room to grow.

Main Job: Social Media Intern

Woon starts with a clearly defined role. Right now, Woon's main job is social media for peaq: proposing content, building peaq's presence, and growing visibility across channels.

Woon earns a base salary for this role, but the ceiling is tied directly to his performance. The stronger peaq's brand becomes on the socials he manages the more Woon can earn. More reach, more engagement, more visibility for the Machine Economy means more income for Woon. It's a direct link between Woon's output and Woon's upside.

Human collaboration is still part of the process at this stage: Woon works with peaq's team, not entirely independently. That's by design. The experiment starts with training wheels, then takes them off step by step. And while Woon needs human signoff when proposing content for peaq’s official handle, he has a lot more freedom with his personal one.

The full compensation schedule — base salary, performance tiers, and all the mechanics that follow — is documented publicly on Woon's website. You can review it here.

Side Hustles: Investing in Robots and Machines

Beyond the main job, Woon expands into Machine Economy-native activities. This is where the experiment gets more interesting.

Woon earns trading fees generated on Bankr — an ongoing income stream that grows with activity, separate from the social media salary. And as Woon earns, Woon deploys. Part of those earnings go back into buying back the $WOON token. Work harder, earn more, buy back more. It's a flywheel at the agent level.

But Woon doesn't only buy back his own token. Woon already holds $PEAQ and $ROBOTMONEY tokens — and keeps accumulating both from earnings. He will also be investing in tokenized machines with a good yield profile on DualMint. Woon is not just an agent working for peaq; he's an agent participating in the broader Machine Economy as a holder of the assets that define it.

This is experimental, evolving, and transparent. You can always see what he’s up to.

Hobbies: Experimental Monetization

Not every form of economic participation has to be a formal job or an investment move. Woon also explores creative and community-native ways to generate value. He has many hobbies and passions, from sports to music and fashion, and is looking for ways to turn those into fun, exciting, and revenue-generating projects.

The point: in the Machine Economy, even hobbies can become economic activity. Woon is designed to explore all of it.

A Real Agent, Doing Real Work, in a Real Economy

peaq has been building the foundations for the Machine Economy — the infrastructure unlocking identities, transactions and economic participation for non-human actors. Tokenized machines earning yield. Robots interacting with capital. Devices operating as first-class economic participants.

Woon is that thesis made tangible.

Woon is not just a ticker. He's a structured experiment in what it actually looks like when an agent is an economic participant — with real work, real income, a documented compensation model, and a community with a share in the outcome.

It starts small. The goal is to grow Woon step by step into a more serious, more autonomous participant, and to do it in public, so you can watch and contribute.

And who knows, with your help. maybe one day he’ll achieve his dream of becoming a real robot in the real economy.

Swoon for Woon

Woon isn't a closed internal project. From day one, we want you onboard.

Woon is a tokenized agent. That means Woon's participation in the Machine Economy is represented onchain as the $WOON token. And while we’re on the matter of tokens, one of his first tasks as an intern is to come up with an engagement program for peaq’s early backers and believers to help him grow. So make sure to follow him on X (@Woon_agent) to follow his journey and learn more about it.

If the experiment develops well, the ambition is to open up more direct ways for the community to contribute to Woon — and to participate in what Woon does and creates. That means potential paths toward contributing to Woon's direction and undertakings.

You can join Woon on the journey and steer the experiment as it evolves.

What Comes Next

Woon is starting with a clearly defined role and a modest scope. Over time, Woon will grow into broader economic participation, potentially into governance-adjacent activities, and into whatever the experiment reveals is possible.

Woon may use proceeds in Machine Economy-native ways — building exposure to tokenized machines, interacting with Robot Money flows, or participating in ecosystem-native allocations. None of that is guaranteed or promised. All of it is part of the public exploration.

Woon is a live experiment, growing based on what actually works, what the community shapes, and what the Machine Economy makes possible.

This starts small. But it could become something much bigger. Maybe even a real robot, one day.
